Biometric System: Issues and Problems
The government has asked that individuals join a biometric database to enable them to improve national security and reduce crime. However, many individuals are reluctant to take part due to concerns surrounding their privacy and possible leaking of data to other interested parties. The government has stipulated that it is now a legal matter and those who refuse will face prosecution. To what extent are the government justified in doing this?
Your company wishes to use a biometric scanning system to control access to a secure workplace. Two possible methods for this are face recognition and voice recognition. Use existing literature to evaluate the effectiveness of two methods and make a recommendation about which method is preferable. Use the findings from your evaluation as a justification.
